I am a Psychotherapist and Training Group Analyst, with a background of working in various mental health settings and have been in private practice since 1986. I offer individual psychotherapy, group work, supervision and team support. I have seen people from a diverse range of occupations, cultural and religious backgrounds and I work in English as well as German. My aim is to help people towards a deeper understanding of themselves and others, to reflect on personal and work-related concerns, and try to achieve a more balanced and satisfactory life.
My main approach is psychoanalytic, but I also draw on other therapeutic modalities, for example, integrative and Jungian principles, as well as group analytic and systemic theories, since problems often owe much to social environments.
I am a BAPPS, IGA and UKCP accredited supervisor and have taught and supervised in many organisations, and I offer individual and group supervision and reflective practice, for psychotherapists, counsellors, group therapists, psychologists, the medical profession, and professionals in other organisations.
I have a special interest in all aspects of creativity.
I facilitate a once a weekly psychotherapy group at the IGA: Tuesday evening: 6.15 to 8.45pm, a fortnightly supervision group and work discussion groups. I work face to face and online. For further details please visit my website: www.margotschiemann.com
