I am a Group Analyst, Training Group Analyst, Qualified Clinical Supervisor and Organisational Consultant. I am based in central Brighton, 15 minutes walk from the station. I offer both once and twice weekly Group Psychotherapy, individual Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy and Emotional Freedom Technique. I also offer clinical supervision to individuals and organisations. Most of my work is face to face. I am a full member of the Institute of Group Analysis and Council for Psychoanalysis and Jungian Analysis within the UKCP. I have 30 years experience of working in mental health settings, including Clinical Lead, Brighton Therapy Centre; Principal Adult Psychotherapist, Sussex NHS as well as working in forensic settings and private practice. I have a special interest in ADHD and complex PTSD. I am a training group analyst and trainer for the Institute of Group Analysis Qualifying Course London as well as the IGA Foundation and Diploma Courses in Brighton. He has completed further training in Dialectical Behaviour Therapy and Mentalization Based Group Therapy. He is a Qualified Clinical Supervisor (IGA 2011)

I have over thirty years experience of working with children and young people in care and supporting foster carers,adoptive parents and the professional network working with them. I have gained extensive knowledge regarding working with and managing staff groups in therapeutic services within both social services,local authority settings and Health Child and Adolescent Mental Health. I have a particular interest in issues relating to attachment and unresolved developmental trauma and how it impacts on adult relationships.

I am a Training Group Analyst working in private practice. I am a group analyst /psychotherapist with over 30 years experience in the NHS where I managed a group analytic group service in west London and also worked part time at King's College London .Previously I trained as a probation officer and was the director of a centre for offenders run on therapeutic community lines, integrating group analytic groups.in the 80s. From 1999 to 2012 I co-convened and ran "Screen Memories" ,the IGA monthly film society .I have now retired from public service and established a small private practice in group and individual supervision, reflective practice and group consultancy . I have more recently worked as a supervisor on the IGA diploma courses in both Reflective Practice and supervision. I offer psychotherapy consultations by telephone or Zoom or face-to-face to assist individuals in considering what form of therapy might best suit their needs. I conduct a once-weekly analytic psychotherapy group on Wednesday evenings (commenced 2002) and I offer psychodynamic psychotherapy to individuals and couples. My experience includes 10 years as a Consultant Psychotherapist in a NHS mental health trust with Lead responsibilities for psychological therapies, 4 years as a senior group therapist in another NHS trust and 15 years as a specialist social worker. and consultant/ trainer in the disability and child protection field. I convened the Introductory Course in Group Analysis in Brighton for 13 years and also served as Chair of the IGA Board of Trustees for 5 years. Since 2018, I have worked exclusively in private practice in Brighton.
