Howard is a Group Analyst, Training Group Analyst, Qualified Clinical Supervisor and Organisational Consultant. He is co-founder and senior associate practitioner at Brighton Therapy Centre, a registered charity located in central Brighton, 15 minutes walk from Brighton station. He offers both once and twice weekly Group Psychotherapy and individual Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy. He also offers clinical supervision to individuals and organisations. Howard works mostly face to face but also offers remote therapy via zoom where needed. He is a full member of the Institute of Group Analysis and full member of the Council for Psychoanalysis and Jungian Analysis within the UKCP. Howard has 30 years experience of working in mental health settings, including Clinical Lead, Brighton Therapy Centre; Principal Adult Psychotherapist, Sussex NHS as well as working in forensic settings and private practice. He is the author of an evidence-based course for people experiencing depression, anxiety and mood swings: The Mood Course. He has a special interest in affective disorders and trauma has found that groups can be particularly effective in helping those with these difficulties. He has facilitated a wide range of reflective practice groups and offered training in group facilitation and clinical supervision in various settings, including his role as trainer for the Sussex Partnership NHS Trust Advanced Supervision Training. His work as an organisational consult, includes mental health teams and managers in a wide range of settings including NHS, statutory, forensic, prisons and not for profit. He uses a systems-psychodynamic approach. Howard originally trained at WPF Counselling & Psychotherapy as a Group Analyst.. He has completed further training in Dialectical Behaviour Therapy and Mentalization Based Group Therapy. He is a Qualified Clinical Supervisor (IGA 2011)
